New home page
We've been working on a new home page. Here's our latest version, largely Alana's work.
Right now some users get it and some don't. You can force it to show the new one or the old one.
Come talk about it here.
I shouldn't forget to mention that members debated earlier mockups extensively (392 messages!). Wow. Kudos to Alana for keeping her cool in the face of a hundred-headed critic!

Cleared cookies and cache, reloaded, now it works. Odd hiccup?
Pure coincidence. I fixed it while you were doing that... :)
As far as I can tell, once you're logged in, then the "home" page you see is your personal LT "home" page. So why would LTers care one way or the other? Weird.
I never log out of librarything. With the new home page I have not logged out, yet I have had to log in every time I visited today.
to add to above comment, I am really overthemoon on librarything. And I have had to re-log in on my home computer as well as the office one. A bit of a nuisance if I have to do that every time.
Same here. I also never log out of LibraryThing, but have had to log in the last couple of times visiting.
Nice
I agree with overlalune and neverwithoutabook. I am so in love with LT that I'm on it several times a day, so it's a bit inconvenient to log in each time. Other than that, it's fine.
Hi, actually, you DON'T need to log in again. We're showing what it looks like. But if you look at the top right you'll notice you are already logged in.
Very nice look, nicely arranged. The recent activity is very good. Keep it up, you guys.
oh, OK - thanks Tim. Now I feel daft.
New home page looks fine to me.
Speaking of changes, how come there's no tab at the top for the blog anymore? Did I miss something?
Yes, I too miss the tab for the blog.
I third that. Where'd the link go?
I have to say I hate the new home page, just like I hated the new profile page, and think it is a v bad sign of where LT is going.
I see that others have already mentioned the lack of a link to the blog, but this has not been fixed. Please fix it.
