Good days and strange days
Today we had our best day since since we hit the New York Times back in March. Members entered 65,606 books. Fortunately, the system held up well. We hit 17 million books.
Weirdly, we have no idea what's going on! The numbers are way up for a Tuesday. We introduced a whole bunch of Dutch sources, but the word is only just starting to get out. Nor is it just a couple of users. Does someone know something we don't?
UPDATE: There will be no more Dutch news today.

Maybe it has to do with being mentioned on page two of this Wired.com article: http://www.wired.com/software/webservices/news/2007/08/open_social_net
It was me. I hit my stride in the cataloging of my classroom library (4/5th grade) yesterday.
(Just kidding. What was huge to me was surely a droplet in the 65000!)

There will be no more Dutch news today.
But there will be tomorrow: the Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad is going to have an article about LibraryThing; I know because they interviewed me about it. I hope some of my enthusiasm will get through.
I heard they might. They interviewed me too. It will be a big help, I think.
I'm pretty sure it was the Wired article. It was on the front page of Digg and Slashdot yesterday.
you were mentioned in real simple magazine, that's how I found the site.
It could just be that more and more people are understanding/using the awesomeness that is librarything!
Dutchness aside, I cannot access any of the topics for the groups I belong to. Says fatal error. Just thought I'd say something.

Hello,
I am impressed by your cataloging and would like your company to help with picking up where someone left off at the Vatican and recataloging the United States of America, Please reply if interested
Thank you, Scott
