Boston meet-up

Anyone in the Boston area should head to the Boston Public Library tomorrow (Saturday Feb 3rd) for a LibraryThing meet-up. (Directions to the BPL are here). It's planned to coincide with the Friends of the Boston Public Library booksale.

We're planning on meeting by Novel restaurant (first floor of the McKim building) at 2pm.

Hope to see you there!

Thanks for putting this on the blog - we're looking forward to meeting you and other LTers..

(You'll be able to recognize us - we'll be the couple with totebags full of books....)

I assume we'll rendezvous at (or possibly inside, if they're open) "Novels", the Friends' restaurant?

And I'll be the one with the LibraryThing tote (full of purchases, I'm sure). At Novels sounds good - and if it's not open, then we'll meet up out front!

What hints, tips, pointers are there for navigating Boston Public Library buildings, floors, departments, curatorial personnel ?... any hints, tips, pointers that are off the beaten path that get one through the mazes of bureaucracy at the BPL !

Floor plan of the library. Novel (the restaurant we're meeting at) is on the first floor of the McKim building. The booksale (which runs from 10-4) is in the Mezzanine Conference Room (in the Johnson building).

Wish I could make it! I have a cold that I shouldn't share and house guests for whom to prepare. Please report back....and maybe next time.
