We have no shame.

LibraryThing appears to be winning :) Although MyChurch, cafemom and latecomer campus bug is catching on.

If we voted early, should we pick a new e-mail and "vote often"?

Think I read something on the voting site, btripp, that they check IP addresses... so my advice? No. :/

C'mon, Thingamabrarians! Release the power of books!

A dog site crashed librarything?

Sorry about the crash this morning. One of our hard drives on the master server gave out. Fortunately, we have one of those set-ups where you can just pop a new one in and you're all set...

Glad to hear everything is back up and running, Tim!

But it's still more fun to blame the dog site. *nod*

Blue Tyson, no - two conversations have co-mingled in the comments here.

I believe Tim was referring to Dogster putting the link to the voting page for the social networking awards on their homepage (whereas LT's plug is in the blog, where not everyone may look) resulting in an influx of votes for Dogster.

I see Tim has now reported on the reason for the outage :)

andrew, ah, ok I get it. Dogs get more love than books in voting.

ARGH! LT was so winning 24 hours ago. Now there are three times as many votes (~1100) and those fracking dogs are winning! I thought voting closed on Friday, December 22!!

Well hopefully if voting was meant to close on the 22nd they will ignore votes after that date.

They should really have used a proper poll script instead of the comments - I tried tracking who was in the lead and gave up lol.

I think you will find they extended the deadline.
