Hanukkah bookpile winner

We might not have been flooded with entries for this one, but the ones we did get were fantastic (I want fried donuts. Maybe next time, winners will be selected based on whoever sends us the best baked good bribery.)

Congratulations to cmlib* though, for the prize-winning photo. (Tim noted that he has Christmas stuff in exactly that style, also from Mexico.) Congrats!

Up next—a Christmas bookpile contest. Start your piles and post them to Flickr with the tag "LibraryThingChristmas". The deadline is the 3pm on Wednesday, December 27th (I know, that's after Christmas, but time is flying by! This way you can include books you got as gifts too, right?) The winner, as usual, gets a gift subscription.

*But that's your Flickr user name, but not your LT one! Who are you? How will I know who to send the gift membership prize to?? Email me!**
**Update: That was fast! Flickr user cmlib is our very own libros (the kitten picture on her profile slays me. I love it).

Deadline for the next contest is "AFTER Christmas"??? The 27th of December is DURING Christmas!!! Remember the song about the Twelve Days of Christmas? The 25th is the first day, the 26th is the second day, the 27th is the 3rd day.... Let's get with the program here.

Of course it would've been nice if my pic had won...but when I saw cmlib's picture, I said to my wife, "I hope that picture wins. It's great!"

So, kudos to the winner! It really is well-deserved.

And Jan. 7 is Orthodox Christmas. Add twelve days to that and your almost to February. But really, it should be sigma 12, so you have one day to enjoy each of the gold rings, ladies dancing and so forth--78 days in total.

That is not only an obvious winner in the category, but it gets my vote as the best bookpile photo yet.

Hi Tim,

I have just signed up for a flickr account, and my newness of account is preventing my book pile photo from showing up in the normal tag searches. They say that within 3-5 days someone *may* review my account and unlock it so that it gets viewed with urls like so:
http://flickr.com/photos/tags/librarythingchristmas/

So I'd like my attempt at creativity to be included in your contest for the christmas bookpile.
