Blog widgets

I've added "blog widgets." Paste the widget into your blog and tell your visitors what you're reading, who your favorite authors are, and what tags your using. You can even display random books from your collection ("LibraryThing Shuffle"?), or keep track of the whole community's books.

Comments welcome. Next up: RSS feeds, Amazon integration and tag-completion.

I love the Blog Widget tool. I put it on my Blogger blog. It worked earlier today, but it doesn't seem to be working today. Did I mess it up somehow?

Never mind. It seems to be working fine now. No problems at all.

No, the problem was real. But it was fixed. Thanks for brining it to my attention.

The link points to the "Extras" page. The extras page has a link to the Blog Widgets (http://www.librarything.com/widget.php). You need to be signed in to make a widget. Might that solve your problem?

It's not making any sense to me either, and I'm logged in. All I see are two tick boxes, one of which says 'recent books' and one of which says 'recent tagged', and a drop-down box with nothing in it. I don't get what I'm supposed to copy and paste.

Aha! I fixed it. It was because you hadn't used tags. Their lack threw a monkey wrench in. Sorry!

I posted the widget in the sidebar of my blog. At first it worked just fine. Now it doesn't. And I can't for the life of me figure out why. I can't even see the "example" in the Extras page when it generates the script. Any idea what's going on? My user name is GobberGo.

Tottally overwhelmed. Will this widget add pictures of my book titles because all I'm getting is words with a link to library thing. How do I get pictures of the covers on?

Look around a bit on the widgets page. It has various settings—covers, no covers, big covers, small covers, titles, no titles, authors, etc.

I've tried adding small covers and messing with all the choices. I'm sure it's just some dumb little detail that I'm missing but I have no idea what it is. Any clues? Could it be that I've missed something when adding to my library? I went back and added tags hoping that might help but, nope, no luck.
