LibraryThing Mobile upgrade for iPhone
A number of users have noticed that LibraryThing mobile (http://www.librarything.com/m/) looked weird on iPhones. We made a few changes and it now looks right.
We are, of course looking at more consequential upgrades. The main issue right now is the lack of an ability to add items to LibraryThing. Anyway, that's what I want to do—add books while standing at a bookstore, for example.

Meanwhile, I'd really like to see a fix for PalmThing on the Mac... or is that too paleotech?

LibraryThing Mobile is very useful in bookshops, thank you for providing it.
One problem is that the list of pages can be very large with dozens of links. Normally lots of links is not a big deal, but Opera Mini when rendering the mobile page hides the cursor and instead cycles through the links. That involves many clicks or holding for several seconds. If you wanted to click a link to a book those links slow you down.
My current list of page links looks like this:
[1] 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34
I'd prefer the numbered page list to be replaced by something like:
[prev][next][first][last]
How many people know that the book they are looking for is going to be on page X?
Alternately an alphabetical list might be more useful than a page number.
Would is be possible to tweak the mobile page and offer something along these lines?

Adding books remotely would be FANTASTIC. It's something that I've wanted since first checking out the (excellent) mobile page.
Please consider adding it for those of us Morlocks using WAP phones as well as the fabulous iphone.
Whatever happened to the wishlist feature that was being worked on? Access to a wishlist would be extremely useful while in a bookstore.

I checked out the mobile site, and find that it won't help me. I want to get the list of tags, and show only my books with that tag (e.g "next" or "book club"). Though the "sort by entry" option helps.
But I'll survive with the main site with my iPhone!
and I vote yes for the adding a book feature!
I also think having the capability of an alphabetical listing for author and title would be much better. It would be so much easier to match up when you are in the stores. Please???
What I want: take a picture of the isbn and have the book page open up. Probably requires a special app.

just wanted to add a vote for being able to add a book through the mobile version.
In the iPhone AppStore, there is a barcode ( or ISBN) scanner application available that utilizes the iPhone's built-in camera to capture the image. I have no idea how well it works, though. The regular LibraryThing site works pretty darn well on my iPhone as is but an addable mobile site would be nice, too!
"previous" and "next" links would be nice. Sometimes you want to page through an author or title list, but those page numbers are awfully small targets on the iPhone for my fat fingers.
